“Can you spend your money, and have it too?”
Have you ever fantasized about having one of those magical bank accounts that automatically refills itself, whenever money is taken out of it? I certainly have.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to spend as much money as we need to, or want to, and never have to worry about our bank balances going down?
While this magical scenario might only be possible in our imagination, what I know to be true for sure, is the more comfortable and familiar we are with our money, and the more we believe in our ability to generate the income we want, the easier it is to not only refill that account, but make it grow.
So the question really is this: “when is spending money just spending, and when is it wise for me to invest in my growth and my business, and how to tell the difference?”
Read my 5 tips below that will help you get more clarity on whether this is your time to invest in yourself and your future:
Tip #1:
If you’re facing a crossroads in your life, you’re not sure what choices to make, and how to move forward, this might be the perfect time to invest in a coach or a mentor. This could be anything from getting a divorce, and losing your job, to your kids moving out soon, and you wanting to reinvent yourself. It’s always wise to get help during such times.
Tip #2:
Getting the help you need sooner rather than later will save you a lot of time and money down the road, as well as a lot of frustration and heartache. You will get to the bottom of your problem, and start taking the right actions right away, instead of finding your way through trial and error.
Tip #3:
You know in your heart of hearts that the job you’ve been doing for the past x number of years just isn’t cutting it any more. You know deep inside that you have a passion and gifts that you want to share with others, and realize that NOW is the time to seriously consider turning this into a profitable business. You’re being called to step up, and step out, and you’d be wise to follow this call.
Tip #4:
Your intuition is screaming at you that this is the right time to make a significant change in your life, but you’re trying to ignore it, and you find yourself using the excuses of not having enough time or money, over and over again, to stop yourself from moving forward. Listen to your intuition, because if your time to act is now, the opportunities will not always present themselves in the future. Opportunities have expiration dates, too.
Tip #5:
You’ve always been employed, and you secretly doubt your abilities to start and run your own business. The more you think about your potential shortcomings, the stronger your fear gets, and the longer you put it off, until it seems impossible to muster the courage to take that leap. The time to move forward is NOW, so acknowledge the fear, but don’t let it stop you.
